Guadalajara’s world champion boxer Saul “Canelo” Alvarez will return to the ring for the first time in more than year on December 19 to fight Callum Smith, the British holder of the WBC super-middleweight crown.

While a venue has yet to be defined, the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, is a likely choice, with the possibility that a certain number of fans will be allowed in to watch the fight. Alvarez will be the favorite, but Smith holds a strong height and reach advantage over the Tapatio. Alvarez has lost just once, to Floyd Mayweather in 2013, in 56 fights, while Smith is undefeated in 27 fights.
