Both of Guadalajara’s top soccer teams, Chivas and Atlas, have been eliminated from the Leagues Cup 2023, a tournament involving all the teams from Mexico’s Liga Mx and Major League Soccer in the United States.

Chivas failed to make it past the first round group stage, while Atlas lost Thursday evening to New England Revolution in the round of 32. The knock-out competition is being played at stadiums in the United States over a month. The final will be held on August 19.

Chivas and Atlas can now turn their attention back to the Liga Mx, which resumes on August 25. Chivas are unbeaten after the first three rounds of the current season.
