Charros tied in final series; weekend home games sold out

The Charros de Jalisco and the Tomateros de Culiacán are tied 1-1 in the best-of-seven final series of the Mexican Pacific League (LMP).

The Charros bounced back in a marathon Game 2 on Wednesday after losing the series opener in Culiacán on Tuesday.

The Charros secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory in the 14th inning of a game that lasted just over five hours.

As a result, all games scheduled for this weekend at the Pan American Stadium in Zapopan will proceed as planned. The schedule is as follows:

Friday, January 24, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, January 25, 6 p.m.

Sunday, January 26, 5 p.m.

Tickets for the games had sold out by Wednesday of this week. Fans can watch the games streamed live on the LMP YouTube channel, although a subscription may be required for access.

The Charros are battling for their third LMP championship, after winning titles in the 2018-19 and 2021-22 seasons.

The Charros also play in the summer Mexican Baseball League (LMB).
