After more than half a century, the Charros de Jalisco are back in the Grand Final of the Mexican Baseball League (LMB), also known as the “King’s Series” (Serie del Rey). This marks only the second season for the current Charros franchise in Mexico’s premier league. The team was LMB champions in 1967 and 1971.

The Charros defeated the Sultanes de Monterrey 4-1 in the Northern Championship Series to secure their spot in the 2025 final. Their opponents are Mexico City’s Diablos Rojos, the defending champions and the most successful team in the league’s history.

The King’s Series began Wednesday, September 10, at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium in Mexico City. A packed house saw the Diablos Rojos draw first blood, winning by 8-4.
