Charros shut out as Diablos Rojos dominate LMB King’s Series

Charros de Jalisco fans are mourning after the Mexico City Diablos Rojos swept the Mexican Baseball League (LMB) championship King’s Series 4-0.

After the Red Devils won the first two games in the capital, fans filled Pan American Stadium in Zapopan, hoping for a turnaround in games three and four—but it was not to be. The Diablos Rojos claimed both home games by decisive scores of 7-2 and 7-3.

This marked the Charros’ first appearance in a championship series in over 50 years. Meanwhile, the Diablos Rojos reinforced their status as the nation’s most successful team, securing their 18th LMB title, and the second consecutive championship.

Charros fans won’t have to wait long for more baseball action. The team will defend its Mexican Pacific League winter crown, starting in mid-October. The regular season runs through December 31, with playoffs immediately following in the new year. The full home schedule will be released soon, but pre-season warm-up games are already scheduled for October 4, 5, and 9.
