This year’s Capriotada festival was a big hit with locals and out-of-town visitors. More than ten people served up their version of Mexico’s sweet and savory Lenten bread pudding.

This reporter tried them all and enjoyed the different versions, including one that was styled American Capriotada, which was sort of like a U.S. version of bread pudding. About 250 people took advantage of the free tastings and many purchased a package to take home. Kudos to Lee Hopper who has put on this event for the past three years.
