Jabil maintains love affair with Guadalajara

U.S. design engineering services company Jabil is preparing to open its eighth facility in Jalisco in the Zapopan Technology Park.

In total, Jabil is dumping $US35 million into the new manufacturing plant, that will create about 1,800 new job opportunities.

“The great thing about Jalisco is its labor force and talent, but also that many of out clients also like Guadalajara and that’s important,” Cesar Castro, the firm’s liaison with the government, told media this week.

Operational in Jalisco for the past 18 years, Jabil has invested nearly $US200 million in the state since 2014.   The Zapopan Technology Park is already home to two other Jabil plants, the last one opening in June of this year.

In its different locations, Jabil Guadalajara boasts around 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space and employs 16,000 people.

The company contributes to the success of some of the world’s most well-known brands in a variety of sectors including healthcare, industrial, mobility, telecom, and networking infrastructure.
