A Guadalajara business owner frustrated at drivers parking their vehicles in spaces reserved for his clients took the law into his own hands this week.
After watching one driver park his car in a reserved spot and then head off to attend to other matters, the businessman promptly attached a boot to one of the wheels and waited for the offender to return.
When he came back and saw the boot clamped to the wheel, the car owner demanded that the businessman remove it immediately.
It will cost you 400 pesos, the businessman said.
No way, the driver replied, and promptly called authorities.
The business owner was obliged to unlock the boot, but, reports indicate, did not face any official sanction for his illegal action.
