Customers swarm Pancho’s Deli opening

Eager shoppers lined up early Monday, October 15 to get through doors at the soft opening of the second branch of Pancho’s Deli Market.

Proprietor Pancho Montes was on hand to welcome the swarm of customers who couldn’t wait to get first dibs on the store’s wide array of imported grocery products, deli cold cuts and cheeses, fresh produce and mouth-watering breads still warm from the on-site oven.

Montes opened the original Deli Market ten months ago in Ajijic, operating out of cramped quarters next door to El BarCo. Responding to customer demand for a larger selection of merchandise and more elbow room, he leased half of an unoccupied commercial complex located on the Chapala-Jocotepec highway at the east end of Riberas del Pilar. The building sits on the south side of the road at Hidalgo 75.

Both outlets are now open for business daily, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
