The Chapala’s Club de Yates will open its gates Friday, November 11 for the three-day comeback of the Feria de Maestros, celebrating its 20th anniversary as a magnificent showcase for top notch Mexican folk art and handicrafts.
The fair runs Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Sunday 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is priced at 80 pesos per person.
Artisans coming from all over the country will offer all sorts of high quality wares. Their merchandise includes clothing, rugs and textiles, huaraches and leather goods, jewelry, fashion accessories, paper crafts, baskets, ceramics, metal work, equipal furniture, masks, alebrije figures, lacquerware and wood crafts, toys, dolls and diverse decorative items.
Visitors can enjoy live musical and dance entertainment going on throughout the day, with a fashion show scheduled daily at 11:30 a.m.
A special attraction is the traditional dance of the masked Tastoanes from Tonalá to be performed Friday and Saturday, 1:30 p.m., in the club’s lower green area.
