Fine wines from 24 premier wineries will be showcased at the fifth edition of the Vid Forum festival, set to take place on Saturday, February 8 and Sunday, February 9 at Chapala’s Club de Yates.
The venue is located at Paseo Ramón Corona 1, in the waterfront restaurant zone just past the intersection with Avenida La Cristianía.
The event promises a two-day gastronomic extravaganza designed to delight wine lovers and food enthusiasts. It will feature exhibitors from seven top national and international wine-making regions. Wineries such as Monte Xanic, Casa Ariza, Santo Tomás, Alto Tinto, Cavas Valmar, Cinicola Hassen, Cavas Maciel, and Encanto Vineyards from Napa Valley are lined up to present a wide assortment of labels, alongside leading national distributors. Several vineyards from the south shore of Lake Chapala will also be represented.
Vid Forum guests will also find a variety of gourmet products on sale, including baked goods, charcuterie, cheeses, and desserts. A half dozen restaurants from Chapala and Ajijic will offer food service. In addition, enologists, sommeliers, and renowned chefs will be on hand to enhance the experience.
To round out the festival, live music from guest bands and musicians will create an inviting atmosphere throughout each day. On Sunday, video projection screens will broadcast a live feed of Super Bowl LIX.
All of this will take place in the Yacht Club’s unique setting, bordered by the expansive Lake Chapala.
Admission is 750 pesos for Saturday, from 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and 650 pesos for Sunday, from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. A two-day ticket is available for 1,200 pesos. Prices include a souvenir wine goblet to enjoy over 60 tasting samples.
