Saturday, April 25 was a day of contentment and accomplishment for 29 young men and women who celebrated their graduation from the 2026 Salto mentoring program at the main stage of the Lake Chapala Society (LCS).
Salto is a life skills and mentoring program for youth in the lakeshore region designed to guide them in building self-confidence, gaining skills for personal achievement and getting a jump-start on achieving goals for future pursuits in the adult world.
The student profile is for highly motivated individuals aged 18 to 20 who are interested in personal growth and productive contributions to the community. The team of mentors is made up of Spanish-speaking adults keen to share their knowledge, talents and experience.
