As of February 1, Aeromexico began charging for documented baggage on all flights between Mexico and the United States and Canada.
For reservations made on the Internet, by phone or at an Aeromexico office, the cost of the first piece of checked luggage will be 400 pesos, or $US20. The cost increases to 500 pesos, or $US25, if payment is made at the airport check-in counter.
All Aeromexico bookings made prior to February 1 are exempt from this charge. Baggage charges remain the same for all Aeromexico flights to other international destinations.
