Don’t expect to hear any fireworks on the evening of September 15, as most “Grito” ceremonies across Mexico have been cancelled, in addition to Independence Day (September 16) parades.
This hasn’t stopped flag and souvenir vendors from offering traditional patriotic merchandise throughout the Guadalajara metropolitan area. Wednesday, September 16, is a national holiday when government agencies are closed.
