As of May 23, subscribers to Netflix in Mexico who share their accounts with friends or family will be paying 69 pesos per month per additional user on top of their monthly fee.
Netflix said emails informing of the new charge have been sent to “our members in Mexico who share their Netflix account outside of their homes.” The platform has justified the additional charge by saying it will help in providing better content variety, given the high demand and the increase in competition. Netflix allows up to three additional users per subscriber.
