Two men were taken to hospital with serious injuries after the Cesna light plane they were piloting crashed in the Colonia Villa Las Flores zone of Puerto Vallarta Tuesday morning.
According to local sources, the pilots were most likely U.S. citizens, but their identities had not been disclosed at press time. The destination of the plane was McAllen, Texas, local reports said.
Reports indicated that the plane struck electricity cables on its descent, provoking some outages. Fortunately, it missed residential housing, coming down in undergrowth. The plane was not carrying any passengers.
At press time the cause of the accident was unknown.
