Mother Language Festival in Zapopan

A festival in Zapopan that wraps up this weekend coincides with International Mother Language Day, a worldwide annual observance to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity that was marked on Wednesday, February 21.


American School to host wide-ranging Art Fest

Guadalajara residents and visitors from further afield will once again have the opportunity to stroll around the sports fields of the American School Foundation, looking at the work of 50 artists, and enjoy all the related activities: art workshops for children, music, dance, international food prepared by well known local restaurants (Focaccia, Labne, Toyo, etc.), and even poetry and magic. 

Environmental sustainability paramount at new US mission

According to Miller Hull Partnership of Seattle, Washington, the design architects for the new U.S. consulate in Guadalajara, the multi-building campus includes a 12,000-square-meter office building, entry pavilions, support and utility buildings, recreational areas and two 150-vehicle underground parking garages.
