Presentation by state-run classical ballet troupe of the perennial Christmas favorite, “The Nutcracker.” With the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra.
The new team at the Jalisco Culture Department is undertaking a period of analysis before making key decisions about policy, including the future of the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra and Jalisco Ballet, Giovana Jasperson Garcia, the state’s new secretary of culture, told Mural newspaper this week.
Twenty-two, large format black-and-white photographs by ground breaking Italian photographer Tina Modotti (1896-1942), a communist activist who rubbed shoulders with the likes of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, are being showcased at the Regional Museum of Guadalajara until March 2019.
Art Festival
The American School Art Fest 2018, which takes place Saturday, December 8, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., will feature a performance by Circo Dragon, a well-known local circus arts group.

Talented local musicians of different genres are showcased each Monday.
