Weapons foroff-duty cops?

Guadalajara Mayor Ismael del Toro says he has spoken with federal legislators about changing national laws to permit off-duty police officers to carry weapons.

Organizations representing truck drivers have called off a massive protest scheduled for Wednesday, January 15 that would have brought metro-area Guadalajara to a virtual standstill.
