More than a dozen conferences on retirement living in Mexico, a variety of cultural and social activities and a commercial expo of products and services geared for seniors are wrapped into the program for the Baby Boomers 50+ Living Show, scheduled for Friday, June 8 and Saturday, June 9 at the Hotel Real de Chapala, La Floresta.

In addition, guests will have a chance to sip cool refreshments at the Margarita Paradise stand, watch dance troupes perform different genres on a the Viva Fiesta stage, and view the works of local artists under Expart Expo tent. Exhibitors will put up displays to promote a wide range of goods and services in fields such as adult and assisted living facilities, Mexico travel and retirement destinations, real estate marketing, fitness, medical and health care, personal finances, leisure and hobbies and community service organizations. Enterprises that have put up vacation packages as prizes for Boomer Show raffles include Casa Iguana Hotel and Grand Miramar Club and Spa in Puerto Vallarta as well as El Amayel Hotel and Wellness Center  and Las Ventanas Hotel and Residences, in Los Cabos, Baja California. Rehabilitation equipment supplier Nova Vida, hearing aid outfit Auditec and MundoHobby are also listed as raffle prize sponsors.

AMAR is a non-profit organization formed in 2007 to respond to demographic trends and exploit Mexico’s potential as a friendly and affordable destination as millions of people worldwide reach retirement age and resettle. The association’s activities aim at shaping the country’s retirement and assisted living industry to meet the demands of national and foreign retirees by building bridges between businesses and clients in that sector, as well as fostering beneficial government policies.
