Easter culinary treat takes over city center

Maunday Thursday saw vendors of the sweet bread delicacy, empanadas, out in force in their dozens, especially in the center of Guadalajara, as the faithful made their traditional annual visit to seven churches. The vendors will sell their treats throughout the weekend.

Children’s charity seeks ‘2-hour’ volunteers

Niños Incapacitados recently announced a new “Two-Hour Volunteer Campaign.” Realizing that most expats are overloaded with activities and volunteer positions, the organization is asking local residents to find just two hours to volunteer at an event to raise funds to help sick children of low-income Mexican families.
