Tucked away in a pastoral setting on the south shore of Lake Chapala, Villa Infantil is a place of safe refuge for 23 orphaned children being raised under the loving wings of three Catholic Sisters, of the Order of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Saint Joseph.

Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Lake Chapala Chapter attended the graduation ceremony at the Chapala Technology Institute on Wednesday, February 26 to congratulate Juan Pablo Chavez, who received a degree in Industrial Engineering specializing in Automated Manufacturing.  The chapter had paid for the tuition of Chavez. He is the second student supported by the chapter to graduate from the Institute.

A group of Lakeside community members with a passion for community service are developing a Rotary International E-Club.

The Centro Cultural de Ajijic (CCA) has taken a huge forward step with a major redesign of installations and activities on the facility’s top floor.

A celebration of life for Nina Discombe and Edward John Kular will be held on Monday, February 24, beginning with coffee served at 10 a.m. in the Oasis Cloud Café and followed by a community healing/guided meditation from 10:30-10:45 a.m. in the garden.
