The Astros de Jalisco continue their quest for their first National Professional Basketball League (LNBP) crown in a seven-game series Zonal Final against the Libertadores de Queretaro.
After the first two games November 23 and 24 on the road in Queretaro, the Astros return to Guadalajara for games three through five, to be disputed on Monday, November 27; Tuesday, November 28; and Thursday, November 30 (if needed). Should the series go all the way, the final two games are scheduled in Queretaro on December 3 and 4.
The Astros reached the zonal final after thumping the Plateros de Fresnillo in a 4-0 semi-final sweep.
If the Astros beat the Libertadores, they will play the winners of the other zonal final, between Fuerza Regio de Monterey and the Abejas de Leon, in the grand final for the LNBP title.
Revenge will be the watchword if the Astros make the grand final. The Guadalajara-based franchise, which only joined the league in 2019, were runners-up to Monterey in the 2021 final and to Leon in 2022.
Astros home games are held at the Astros Arena on Avenida Alcalde, a few blocks from Plaza Patria. Tickets, 170-300 pesos, from boletomovil.com, the stadium box office, and the Astros booth in Plaza Patria. Weekday home games begin at 8 p.m.
