The Charros de Jalisco breezed into the semi-finals of the Mexican Pacific League, winning the quarter-final series against the Águilas de Mexicali 4-1. The Charros won four straight games after losing the series opener at their home stadium.

They now face the defending champions, the Naranjeros de Hermosillo, in the semi-finals. The first two games of the seven-game series are scheduled in Hermosillo on Saturday and Sunday, January 11 and 12.

The series will resume at the Panamerican Stadium in Guadalajara on Tuesday, January 14, and continue with games on Wednesday, January 15, and Thursday, January 16, if necessary. Should the series go the full distance, games six and seven will be played in Hermosillo on January 18 and 19. The grand final, known as the Serie de México, is set for January 21 to 29.
