The Charros de Jalisco softball team is on the brink of elimination in their quest to qualify for the Mexican Softball League final.

The local team trails the Mexico City Diablas Rojas 0-2 in their best-of-five semi-final series, with the remaining games scheduled for March 14, 15 and 16 in the capital. The Charros suffered heavy losses in the first two games at the Pan American Stadium in Zapopan, with scores of 0-14 and 3-14. The Charros were the champions of the league’s inaugural season last year.
