The second edition of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Puerto Vallarta Open runs from March 24 to 30 on the outdoor hard courts at the Sheraton Buganvilias Resort and Convention Center.
This WTA 125 event (the lowest of the five professional categories) offers US$115,000 in prize money for the 32 singles’ competitors and eight doubles pairings.
McCartney Kessler of the United States became the event’s inaugural singles champion last year, beating Taylah Preston of Australia, while Mexico’s Renata Zarazua claimed the doubles title alongside partner Iryna Shymanovich of Belarus.
