In a true-life rags to riches tale, Guadalajara’s hometown working-class boxing hero Saul “Canelo” Alvarez has joined the sporting elite after signing a record-breaking, 11-fight deal with streaming service DAZN for a minimum of $US365 million.

Boxing fans are just a week away from the much anticipated rematch between Guadalajara’s very own Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KO) and Kazakhstan’s Gennady Golovkin (38-0-1, 34 KO), scheduled in Las Vegas Saturday, September 15.
