Papalote Trail Race jersey revealed

Organizers of Ajijic’s Papalote Trail Race held a press conference last week to unveil the official jersey for this year’s participants. The mountain running event, set for July 27, features three routes: a 6.6-kilometer course, an 11.5-kilometer course, and a challenging 24-kilometer trail.


Rotarians key to kidney transplant for Ajijic resident

In a remarkable medical achievement, Guadalajara’s Antiguo Hospital Civil Fray Antonio Alcalde recorded its third multi-organ and multi-tissue donation in one week. Thanks to the generous family of a deceased teenager, five patients in need of transplants received life-saving organs. The donation included both kidneys, corneas and the liver.

Global ‘No Kings’ protests expand to Ajijic & Guadalajara

In solidarity with the “No Kings-No Tyrants” movement, the Democrats Abroad Lake Chapala Chapter is hosting a rally on Saturday, June 14, at 3:30 p.m. at the Ajijic Plaza. This will be the organization’s third “Hands-Off” demonstration against U.S. government policies and actions led by President Donald Trump.
