The Centro Cultural González Gallo (CCGG), housed in Chapala’s former railway station, celebrates its 20th anniversary on Saturday, March 28, with a full program of afternoon and evening activities.
The birthday bash kicks off at 4:30 p.m. with the opening of an exhibit of watercolors by Jorge Monroy, followed by a cocktail reception in the garden, and a ceremony at 5:45 p.m. to recognize persons who have contributed to the CCGG’s advancement on the cultural scene.
Music entertainment arranged for the evening includes a set of Mexican music by Ranc Orquesta, 6:15 p.m.; Balkan music by Xiranda, 7:30 p.m.; and a selection of electronic and world music played by DJ Damián Chalvignac, 8:50 p.m. Video mapping projections illuminating the center’s façade round out the program at 10 p.m.
