American School to host wide-ranging Art Fest

Guadalajara residents and visitors from further afield will once again have the opportunity to stroll around the sports fields of the American School Foundation, looking at the work of 50 artists, and enjoy all the related activities: art workshops for children, music, dance, international food prepared by well known local restaurants (Focaccia, Labne, Toyo, etc.), and even poetry and magic.

Environmental sustainability paramount at new US mission

According to Miller Hull Partnership of Seattle, Washington, the design architects for the new U.S. consulate in Guadalajara, the multi-building campus includes a 12,000-square-meter office building, entry pavilions, support and utility buildings, recreational areas and two 150-vehicle underground parking garages.

AMSOC to headline models & magicians

Two unusual events—a magic show and a fashion show—are set for the American Society of Jalisco (AMSOC), organized by the principals of the Guadalajara thrift shop on AMSOC’s street level, Tres Flores.
