Food is one of the pleasures of life that brings people together and the Culinary Arts Society of Ajijic (CASA) is doing that in spades as it celebrates 30 years since its humble beginnings. 

After a wet start, the sun finally shone on the Humane Education Alliance (APEH) celebration of World Animal Day, held on the Chapala Malecon.

Catch rough-and-tumble gals in action at the Chapala Bowl gridiron event scheduled for Saturday, October 15, at Ajijic’s Cruz Azul soccer field, Calle Revolución at Guadalupe Victoria, just below the highway. 

The wild and whacky Thrill the World happening on Saturday, October 29, 5 p.m. at the Ajijic plaza is more than lakeside’s role in a global phenomenon. It’s also a life support program for Cruz Roja Chapala.

Abundant Life Church

Abundant Life Church will celebrate a special night of worship and praise on Saturday, October 15, 6 p.m.

Student chefs from Autlán de Navarro swept top awards at the Sabor a Jalisco cooking competition held last weekend at the Ajijic Malecón, taking first place for best overall performance and special recognition to Ruben Padilla as outstanding team captain.
