Funds solicited for mega-window in mega-church

The archdiocese of Guadalajara is again asking the Catholic faithful to dig into their pockets to help fund another important stage in the construction of the massive Santuario de los Martires, located atop a hill in the poor Cerro de Cuatro barrio to the south of Guadalajara.


Famous Canine to be honored with bronze statue

Local sculptor Marco Antonio Jasso will soon debut a new work honoring “Frida,” the search-and-rescue dog that shot to international fame following the September 7 and 19 earthquakes in central Mexico.

GDL airport hold-ups in the works

The Grupo Aeroporutario del Pacifico (GAP), operators of 13 Pacific Coast airports in Mexico, began work earlier this week on several projects in the Guadalajara International Airport they say will greatly improve a variety of services in the long term – but will most likely cause delays for users in the short term.
