In the wake of the controversial March 17 Annual General Meeting, the Lake Chapala Society (LCS) has seated new members to its board of directors and initiated the process to fill additional positions on the governance council.
The formation of the new board was apparently justified after consultations with legal counsel, following a violation of the LCS bylaws at the AGM. Full disclosure of that decision is still pending.
With Secretary Greg Custer reelected, new directors-at-large who garnered the most votes are Luis Jiménez Herrera, Ricardo Razo Navarro, Renee Sanders, Terri Daniels and Betti Clark. Jack Knudsen was also voted in to serve a second term.
