Operacion Amor
Operacion Amor co-chairs Amalia Garcia and Cameron Peters presented a certificate of appreciation to Yves de Choulet for hosting the September 30 fundraiser held at his popular Ajijic restaurant to celebrate group’s fifth anniversary and its record of 2,000 free spay and neuter procedures provided to low-income Chapala families.
Religious festivities
Chapala’s celebration of its patron San Francisco de Asis continues through Tuesday, October 4 with early morning prayer sessions and a procession to the church along the north end of Avenida Madero beginning 6:30 a.m.

Thriller
Rehearsals for this fall’s Thriller/Zombie presentation in the Ajijic Plaza start Saturday, September 10 at Club Exotica at the back of El Jardin Restaurant on the Ajijic Plaza. Several thousand spectators are expected to see the show featuring about 100 zombies on Saturday, October 29, 5 p.m.
