Kidnappers asking for smaller ransoms

Kidnappers in Jalisco are changing their modus operandi by identifying less wealthy targets and seeking smaller ransoms, usually between 70,000 and 150,0000 pesos, according to the Attorney General’s Office (PGJEJ).

US commission endorses state traffic police

Having undergone training and adopted new practices and technology for the past five years,  Jalisco’s traffic police department was accredited for crime prevention and security by the U.S. Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) on Tuesday.
