Ajijic resident James M. Barkley died November 25 in Tucson, Arizona, after a short illness. After spending most of his life in the Northeast United States, Barkley moved to Ajijic in 2005. He volunteered for ACA, the organic farm formerly in Jaltepec, and for the Lake Chapala Society as head of the Audit Committee. He was known for his wry sense of humor and loved nothing more than trading jokes with friends.
Longtime Ajijic resident Carol Lynn Cheatham died at home on October 1 at the age of 60.
Franklin John Charles Martin died peacefully at his Ajijic home on October 5 at the age of 72.
Lakeside resident Donald Joseph Kislinger died in a local clinic on November 14 at the age of 91.
Wayne McLeod, the editor of Puerto Vallarta’s English-language daily, Vallarta Today, died October 28 at the resort’s Medasist Hospital at the age of 58.
Ival Wayne Vincent died November 14 at his home in Chapala at the age of 69.

Alice Isabelle Moomaw Hathaway passed away November 5 after a long illness at the age of 92.
William “Bill” Whitehead died in the arms of his wife of 57 years, Gillian, at his Ajijic home on October 19. He was 79 years old.
