Christ Church
After almost six months with only online services, Christ Church Lakeside, a parish of the Diocese of the West in the Anglican Church of Mexico, celebrates it grand reopening Sunday, October 4, the eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost, celebrating the Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. live at La Huerto Events Facility (the location of the Tuesday Farmers Market) and also via Zoom.
Betty Leung, co-owner of the popular Vietnamese-Asian fusion restaurant, Chopstix, in Plaza Bugambilias in Ajijic, has opened The Wok, an authentic Chinese restaurant, with chef Antonio (Wang) at the helm, upstairs in the same mall.
Stand-out spiritual leaders from around the world and through the ages are depicted dancing with joy in a new mural that will soon grace the interior of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Riberas del Pilar.

Christ Church Lakeside, a parish of the Diocese of the West in the Anglican Church of Mexico, will observe the seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost, September 27, celebrating the Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. via Zoom. Rev. Jim Powers will celebrate and give a message with the theme “Knowing, Believing, and Faith” based on Matthew 21:23-32.
José Milagro, the Chapala youngster who underwent surgery at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Mexico City back in July, continues his recovery with the fitting of custom-made orthopedic braces this week after removal of the painful full-leg casts he has worn for the last eight weeks.
