The University of Guadalajara Cineforo is hosting screenings of contemporary British films (plus two classics from the 1920s) during the International Book Fair (FIL). The entrance fee is 45 pesos and the movie theater is located in the UdG administrative building on Avenida Juarez at Enrique Diaz de Leon.
Alan Knight, a leading professor and researcher of Mexican and Latin American history at Oxford University in England, will take part in two conferences at the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) in a series titled “Great English experts of hispanic culture: Mexico seen by the United Kingdom.”
During the November 28-December 6 International Book Fair, renowned British chef Alan Coxon will be serving up special dishes inspired by classic works of British literature in the Restaurante Los Vitrales at the Hilton Hotel, across from Expo Guadalajara.
Often arresting photographs, paintings and prints by some of England’s best known living artists are showing until February at the University of Guadalajara’s elegant art museum, located at Avenida Juarez and Enrique Diaz de Leon. Meanwhile, the Cabañas Institute and Ex Convento are also hosting show British artists.
