Preliminary polling is underway in the online 2015 Best of the Best, People’s Choice Awards and votes and write-in nominations are rolling in. This ImagenMX poll allows lakeside residents to give credit to businesses that have served them well during the year.
Voting in the Quality of Life and Dining/Restaurant categories has already started, while the Leisure Activities and Shopping Around categories open on July 1. At the beginning of August, voting will begin in the Travel, Lodging, Getting Around category, as well as Products and Services.
The 2015 category nominees were compiled based on votes received by businesses and services in the 2014 competition, nominations from members and multiple recommendations on area websites and forums. Write-in nominees will be accepted during the preliminary period.
In order to vote, lakesiders must be registered at bestoflakechapala.com and logged in. To speed vote, click on the “Vote Now!” button. The lists and links for all open categories will drop open. Look for Vote Now! under Voting in the top menu to the left of the home page.
Preliminary voting continues through November 15 when votes will be tallied. Entrants with the most votes will become finalists in their categories. All tallies will be reset at zero to begin final voting from scratch. If any nominee on the ballot is no longer in business, site members are asked to notify site sponsors. Finalist voting in all categories and sub-categories will be allowed December 1-31.
Winners will receive an award certificate and are authorized to use the Best of the Best, People’s Choice Digital Award Emblem in their print or web publicity.
