Seminar

The Tuesday, February 12, noon seminar, available for Lake Chapala Society (LCS) members, will be chaired by Ron Mullenaux.

In her TED Talk podcast, “Gaming Can Make a Better World,” Jane McGonigal argues that games like World of Warcraft give players the means to save worlds and the incentive to learn the habits of heroes. What if we could harness this game power to solve real-world problems?  McGonigal says we can, and explains how.

The seminar will be held in the LCS Sala.

This month’s first “show and tell” program on Wednesday, February 13, 2 p.m. will be given by paramedic Christie Prine, who will demonstrate CPR, the best response to choking, and how to recognize the signs of a stroke.

The general meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the Lake Chapala Society Gazebo.  Everyone is welcome to come and learn why it’s exciting to be a Cruz Roja volunteer.
