Upscale Resale
The Upscale Resale Bazaar is in the process of change in order to assist more area children. When volunteers opened the shop in 2010, the plan was for the receipts to go to Hope House and the newly established home which had just four children.
First Kayak Paddle
Maria Isabel Restaurant at Morelos 1 in Ajijic is sponsoring the First Annual Kayak Paddle to celebrate the third anniversary of the Lake Chapala Kayak Club on Sunday, July 27.
LCS & Mountain Race
Ajijic’s annual international Chupinaya footrace (a half marathon) leaves from the town plaza and continues through the mountains above the village on Sunday, July 20.
Consulate visit
Due to Independence Day activities, the regular visit of U.S. Consulate employees to serve the needs of U.S. citizens from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at American Legion Post Seven in Chapala and their arrival approximately at noon at the Lake Chapala Society has been delayed until Wednesday, July 16.
Lakeside Progressives
The next meeting of the Lakeside Progressives will be on Tuesday, July 8, 4 p.m. in the Peacock Garden Restaurant in Ajijic.
Bling June Mixer
Bling, the organization of international Lakesiders involved in local businesses, is meeting for a Saturday, June 28, noon to 3 p.m. mixer at Laurie’s Café at Carretera 24 in Ajijic.
