Passing
Dr. Ricardo Heredia of Chapala passed away in his sleep apparently due to cardiac arrest. A funeral mass was scheduled for Thursday, December 8 at Chapala’s San Frnacisco parish. He was admired by his many English- speaking patients for his kindness and compassion, as well as professional skills embracing both traditional and alternative medical approaches.
Open Circle
San Juan Cosala Children’s Choir and Orchestra will give a performance at Open Circle Sunday, December 4, 10:30 a.m. in the garden of the Lake Chapala Society (LCS).
Eradicating Polio
At its seventh annual End Polio dinner October 28, the Rotary Club of Ajijic raised 109,000 pesos for the Rotary Foundation’s End Polio program.
Revolution Day
Ajijic marks the Revolution Day holiday on its original date, Sunday, November 20, with a traditional parade running east to west on Calle Constitución-Ocampo to Seis Esquinas, returning to the plaza via Hidalo. Look for local school kids performing lively athletic routines and marching or riding floats dressed up in costumes of the era.
