Computer faux pas reveals man’s dark side

Police were summoned after the bizarre incident shocked parents at a school in Zapopan.

The man, identified by authorities as Victor Huga Herrera Preciado, 41, was arrested and has been charged with several offenses related to crimes against minors. He is currently locked up in the Puente Grande penitentiary outside Guadalajara awaiting trial.

Herrera had hooked his computer up to a large screen so parents could get a better view of the locations that he had planned to take their children to camp.  However, police say he must have inadvertently activated an archived video containing the offensive images.

Investigators say 17 videos containing pornographic images of children were found on Herrera’s computer.

Under the Jalisco Penal Code, Herrera could face between five and 15 years in prison if found guilty.
