Red Cross Chapala installs new board

Members of the Cruz Roja Chapala (CRC) administrative board were sworn into office Tuesday, November 17, at a belated ceremony delayed since March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

pg13aUnder the leadership of President Yolanda Martínez Llamas, the eight honorary posts will cover the two-year period from 2020 to 2022.  New to the team are Mayra Ortiz and Antonio Angel. María del Rosario Martínez Vargas is continuing as treasurer, accompanied by William Heim, Don Marie Fraser, Rocio del Carmen Torres Gómez and María Vianey Morán Torres in the remaining board seats.

Cruz Roja Jalisco Sub-Delegate Jaime Rivas Brambila took charge of administering the oath of office on behalf of the organization’s state president Miguel Angel Dominguez Morales. On hand to witness were Chapala Mayor Moisés Anaya Aguilar, Lake Chapala Society (LCS) President Steve Balfour and Eduardo Ramos, representing the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce.
