City’s May Festival ready to roll

Guadalajara’s 28th annual Festival Cultural de Mayo kicks off next week, with Canadian performers and artists taking center stage.

Not for the first time, Canada is the festival’s guest country, and around 65 talented artists from the north will be participating. A total of 463 performers and artists will take part, with 336 from Jalisco and 62 from other parts of Mexico and the world. The festival will feature 44 activities across 21 venues.

While most performances are free of charge, the headline events at Guadalajara’s magnificent Degollado Theater are ticketed, but the prices are very reasonable.

For further information, see festivaldemayo.org. Tickets are available online from this website and boletia.com.
