Famed tenor Plácido Domingo will perform in Guadalajara on Thursday, June 25 at the Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas as part of the World Cup cultural activities.
The gala, titled “De España a México, la zarzuela que nos une,” will celebrate Spanish-Mexican musical ties. Tickets range from 700 to 2,800 pesos.
Domingo has deep, lifelong ties to Mexico, having spent his formative years from ages 8 to 21 living in this country.
At press time it was unclear whether Queen Letizia will accompany Spanish King Felipe VI at the concert. The king has confirmed he will be traveling to Mexico to attend the concert on June 25 and the Spain-Uruguay World Cup game in Guadalajara on June 26.
