LLT ends season with discounts

For the final play of its 60th season, “Grand Horizons,” Lakeside Little Theatre has introduced new ticket discounts aimed at making its productions more accessible to a wider audience.

pg20a“We wanted to make our plays more accessible to everyone,” explained Lakeside Little Theatre President, Collette Clavadetscher. “We already offered a discount of 150 pesos off all stage productions and 100 pesos off filmed performances to anyone showing an INE card at the box office, which was very popular. This encouraged us to offer even more opportunities for discounts.”

Now, anyone purchasing a ticket at the box office before a show on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday will receive a 100-peso discount off the regular 400-peso ticket price. Additionally, groups of six or more attending these midweek performances will receive the same 100-peso discount on all tickets. Grand Horizons will be on stage from Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 11. The play is a Tony-nominated “dramedy” that blends humor and poignancy. It explores the charged conversations that arise when an elderly couple decides to divorce after 50 years of seemingly blissful marriage. When their children arrive, hoping to change their minds, everyone must confront difficult truths about themselves, marriage, and life.

Written by Beth Wohl, Grand Horizons is directed by Suki O’Brien and features a talented cast: Mark Nichols, Sharon Jarvis, Brad Felix, Debra Felix, Maloy Murdock, Diana Rowland  and Brian Fuqua.

Regularly priced tickets can be purchased on the theater’s website at lakesidelittletheatre.com. Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday performances begin at 4 p.m., while Wednesday, Thursday and Friday shows start at 7:30 p.m. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy the beautiful Angel Terrace before the show.
