Youth theater group
Pequeños Creadores, a youth theater ensemble from Tonalá, will perform at Lakeside Little Theatre Saturday, May 17, with shows at 4 and 6:30 p.m. to raise funds for its trip to the 16th World Festival of Children’s Theater in Germany (Each of the group’s 10 performers will need to raise $US1,785 for the trip).
The group’s most recent work, “Journey to the Center of Alhijara,” took Jules Verne’s story as inspiration to feature the children’s own journey from childhood to adolescence, mixing personal experiences with fantastic elements. The play will be performed in Spanish with English subtitles. Tickets, 350 pesos, are available one hour before the performances at the LLT box office and via lakesidelittletheatre.com. Individuals may make donations to fund the group’s trip at Mariana Leticia Villalpando Camacho. Banamex Clabe: 002320035157678342, Branch: 0351 Account: 5767834. Card Number: 5204 1674 4630 2390.
