Opening again
The Castillo de la Floresta park, one of lakeside’s favorite open-air art exhibit spaces, has been renovated and will be re-inaugurated on Saturday, August 29, 11:30 a.m.
Violin and Piano Trio
“Del Romanticismo Ruso al Romanticismo Mexicano” is the latest in a series of sensational classical concerts scheduled at the Centro Cultural Ajijic’s nearly completed Teatro del Pueblo.
Mozart, Paganini & Friends
The Camerata de Jalisco presents a recital entitled “Mozart, Paganini & Friends” at the Casa de Cultura de Ajijic on Sunday, August 16, 6 p.m.
Sacred music
The Metropolitan Cathedral Children’s School Choir, under the direction of Aurelio Martinez Corona, presents a concert at the Auditorio de la Ribera on Saturday, August 8, 7 p.m.
Cultural Center
A delightful array of cultural activities will take over the Ajijic Casa de Cultura on Saturday, August 1, 3-5 p.m. as local kids conclude a week-long series of art, music, written word, dance, language experiences. One of the special events during the culmination of the week-long camp will be the opportunity for the children to watch as Efren Gonzalez, the center’s director, creates a painting during the two-hour span.
Folk Dance Double-header
The Ballet Folclórico Ozomatli from Reynosa, Tamaulipas and Guadalajara’s Ballet Tierra y Libertad will take the stage at the Auditorio de la Ribera, La Floresta, Wednesday, July 29, 6:30 p.m.
