Cultures blend at Lake Chapala Society Halloween festivities

Special activities organized for children stood out as big hits of the Lake Chapala Society’s  Intercultural Celebration of Life and Honoring Death Festival held October 29 through November 1.

pg15bMore than 120 kids, from toddlers to teens, along with some adult relatives, attended the “north of the border” style Halloween party at the LCS main campus on Sunday, October 30. Most families came from various lakeside towns and a few even from Guadalajara for three hours of fun that included 20 different activities such as face painting, decorating trick-or-treat bags, playing musical chairs, creating Skittles rainbows and the messy and popular science experiment of concocting slime. Commenting on her first Halloween experience, one delighted child said she had as much fun as the kids jousting for space in the musical chairs.
